Verification Policy

1. Purpose

Shiftworx verifies station stores, fundraisers, memorial campaigns, and responder-owned businesses to protect buyers and honor department authorization requirements.

2. Station store verification

Station stores must provide department or agency authorization documentation, logo use approval where applicable, and a designated point of contact. Verified stores display a public verification summary.

3. Fundraiser & memorial verification

Memorial and department fundraisers require written authorization from the family, department liaison, or qualifying nonprofit. Proceeds disclosure must be accurate and visible on listing pages.

4. Responder-owned business verification

Side businesses may display a responder-owned badge after identity and affiliation review. This badge does not imply endorsement of services beyond platform eligibility.

5. Ongoing review

Shiftworx may suspend or revoke verification for misrepresentation, trademark violations, or failure to maintain accurate fundraiser disclosures.
